Angewandte Chemie Publishes ECUST Latest Research Progress in Environmental Chemistry

Recently, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, an internationally renowned academic journal, published the latest research results of Professor Xing Mingyang’s research group in the field of environmental pollution control online. The article is entitled “Generating High-valent Iron-oxo ≡FeIV=O Complexes inNeutral Microenvironments through Peroxymonosulfate Activation by Zn-Fe LayeredDouble Hydroxides”, and was selected as “Peroxymonosulfate Activation Very Important Paper”.

The research article is first authored by ECUST doctoral candidate Bao Yan and is corresponding authored by Professor Xing Mingyang, with East China University of Science and Technology as the first corresponding academic affiliation. This research has also received guidance from Professor Zhang Jinlong, an academician of the European Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Cheng Jian of the School of Chemistry in DFT calculation. This work has been financially supported by the Feringa Nobel Prize Joint Research Center for Scientists, the Frontier Science Center of the Ministry of Material Biology and Dynamic Chemistry, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
